Special Features

Merchant Warehouse’s proprietary offerings include two product lines. MerchantWARE Payment Gateway is PA-DSS validated and comes in a web-based and a mobile form, allowing merchants to accept credit cards, signature- and PIN-based debit cards, EBT and gift and loyalty cards. The Genius suite uses a single countertop device to aggregate access to all present and future transaction technologies, payment types, and customer programs.

Charge.com

Company Basics

In 1995, Charge.com was founded with the goal of making merchant accounts available to smaller companies. Ten years later, it was sold to Pipeline Data, which filed for bankruptcy protection in Delaware in November, 2012, and it now has its headquarters in Plantation, Florida.

Charge.com accepts al major credit cards and offers an electronic keypad terminal, a virtual terminal for PC or Mac, and a wireless/mobile credit card processing solution that can be used with any cell phone, as well as a free web shopping cart and free search engine service, and without requiring a contract.

Rock Bottom Merchant Services, also known as Leaders Merchant Services

Company Basics

Rock Bottom Merchant Services is based in California. The website provides no information about company history, and other sources differ on the date it was founded, but it was certainly in action by 2010, when it received an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. In May 2013, it was named “Best Credit Card Processor” by topcreditcardprocessors.com for the month, after evaluating a number of companies I order to choose the thirty best credit card processing companies, as it does each month.

Among the equipment offerings at Rock Bottom Merchant Services, you can find mobile , dial-up, and Ethernet connected terminals, as well as a virtual terminal through Authorize.Net. Also offered are an  online shopping cart product, a check reader and a check imager, PC charge software, pinpads, QuickBooks software, manual imprinters, and a Verifone printer. Services include VISA, Mastercard, American Express, and Discoer processing, PIN-based debit cards, and business cash advances. They have an Agents program, and what they claim is one of the largest Chargeback and Fraud departments in the US.

Rock Bottom Merchant Services offers a check assurance program called CheckPoint, which gives merchants a choice of processing paper checks like credit cards using Electronic Check Conversion (ECC) or choose the paper check guarantee. They have an iAccess tool to provide a full overview of merchant account activity at any time and a Premium Customer Care (PCC) program.
